I read an article in a Black woman's magazine last year where the writer (a Black woman) was telling her daughter that she may have to accept the fact that she may never be able to marry an African American man or find a long term companion. This sent chills down my spine as I wondered if things had really gotten that bad. While its true that a lot of brothers are incarcerated, murdered, or already married but has it really gotten so bad that we have to tell our daughters there's no hope? I don't want to believe that. Especially since I'm single. Talk to me and tell me your view on this, please. sevgenprod
